This video is so old- but hilarious.

On new news….we won our fb game Thursday.
Hudson had a great game!  He caught a pass for the conversion point!
This is in the endzone.  He was so excited about that point!!!

He also has a big fan!!!

Trey played another great game as well, with 7 touchdowns and a conversion point.
I love watching these boys play!

This weeks game turned out  a lot differently than our game two weeks ago.  We played an older team. An 8th grade team.  A really BIG 8th grade team!  Needless to say…..we lost.  47-6.

Hudson got in on the action and carried the ball a couple yards.

Trey does get the ball quite a bit so it's easy for me to get such good photos of him.

He did run the ball in for our 6 points.

Hudson blocking for Trey!!

I'm pretty sure every week will be a David and Goliath week for Hud.

And here are some that will make you smile.

Izzy is such good help with Jet.

Jet LOVES ball!!!  Any kind of ball!
We LOVE Jet.  ;  )

On a sad note:
My nephew was injured Friday night during his FB game.
He is a freshman quarterback on Varsity who has a VERY BRIGHT future in whatever he does.
His dream since he was a little boy (4 or 5 years old) has been to play in the NFL.  I will not be one bit surprised if he does.  To put it in perspective….it is only his collar bone.  We know it could be so much worse than it is.  And really, he has handled this like such a pro.  It's just so disappointing to have watched him work so hard at something he loves so much, to have ended so early in the season.

Isabella adores Jace.
These two have so much in common and always enjoy hanging out.

I love him like my own!
Hudson thinks Jace is COOL.

So…to say I am sad is putting it lightly, although
I do believe that God has allowed this injury for a reason.
And if I know Jace- he'll be back better than ever next year!!

Football

Where does my time go?!  I intended to post this a week ago.

Although it wasn't my boys' first football game of their football career- it was Covenant Academy's first school team football game ever.  And boy was it exciting!!!
Covenant Academy is jumping into the competitive school sports world this year with football, volleyball, basketball and maybe track and cross country.

Covenant won 33-6!  The boys played great! And most of all they had fun!
Trey is #7 and Hudson is #9

Trey showed his mad football skills with 4 touchdowns and 3 extras.  (That's 27 points!)
Needless to say….he was having a great time!  As was his momma!!

Trey's position is running back and outside linebacker.

Hudson plays nose guard and receiver and on this play he caught a 30 yard pass!!
Here he is with the ball being tackled.

TOUCHDOWN!!

I call these next two….."David and Goliath"!!
Hudson had to block this 240 pounder all night!  And he did quite well I might add!
He may be the littlest and the youngest, but he might also be the toughest!!!

I love when Trent helps coach his boys.

Hudson amazes me.
His whole life changed only three years ago and he has embraced every single part of it.
He looks up to Trey and learns so much from him.
God did a wonderful, wonderful thing by giving us this precious gift.
It was a great first win for the Covenant Knights!

PINK!!!

Introducing…..

STELLA ROSE

Wednesday, August 20, 2:00am I got the phone call to come and get Jet.
Kim and Wesley left for the hospital as soon as I pulled up to their house.  After getting the car seat into my car and packing a few clothes for Jet I quietly wrapped him up, grabbed his puppy he won't sleep without and carried him to the car.  He was awake the whole ride back to my house and didn't make a peep until he saw us pull into the garage and then he uttered a few excited words.
I quickly and quietly brought him in and put him into his bed.  He was asleep in 15 minutes.
I am so thankful he is happy and comfortable to be whisked away in the middle of the night to come stay at Grandma's house.  He is my sweet boy.
Late the next afternoon I took him to the hospital to meet his little sister where he was quiet and disinterested in her.  He touched her nose a couple of times and then pushed her away.
Yep!  He's all boy!!!  Balls….not babies!!

Sophie was over 12 and the only one able to go to the hospital to meet Stella.
Since Trey was at Basketball practice last night, he and the other two got to meet Stella today when Kim and Wesley brought her over after they were discharged from the hospital.

Catching Up

New news coming soon so I am updating the last 8 months in the lives of the Richmond's!
Amazing how fast the days, weeks and months fly by.  I don't see that changing any time soon, either.

Our summer has been fun and full for sure!
  • Trey played on a traveling basketball team and has great friends through that.
  • In March my sister, Jennifer, my niece, Johnnye and Kim and I went to see Wicked.                    It was WICKED AWESOME!
  • Jet turned ONE!!  I haven't even blogged about that SWEET boy!!!
  • The boys have been making money by working a few days a week for our neighbor.
  • We purchased an RV and LOVE it!!!  We've made two long trips back to Kansas and I don't think I could travel any other way now.  No more dirty public restrooms.  No more greasy fast food.  No more hotel rooms.  No more leaving Jack (our yellow Lab) home alone.  We love the RV!!!!
  • We've decided to homeschool three of the kids this year.
  • Now we are waiting for the most exciting part of all……Stella!!!  A new grandbaby!!!  She is due any day now and the phone is always charged and nearby waiting for the call to come.

Jen, Johnnye, Me & Kim off to see Wicked!!
My sweet boy turns ONE!!!!

LOVES his Grandpa!!

Loves his Great Grandma, too!!

Boys are off to work!!

The only way to travel!
Lori McCary…..here I come!!!!
